you wiley devil you. Even in your diluted position the love for your "baby" still shines through. Edison had the lightbulb, Graham Bell had the telephone, and you've got your PS3. It's hard to deny a man and his passion for a life's work. I once saw a movie called Full Metal Jacket where the drill sergeant said, "guts is enough." Move this man back to the front office.lol
well let's see the link where PS3 fans are "jealous" of the 360. Are you being totally serious, dude? Yeah I respect the 360 and play it, but I'm not jealous of it.lol What's wrong with you? Can't take the thought of something else coming between you and your girlfriend (the 360)? Give it up man -- when are the 360 fans on this site gonna realize that being a fan of SNE is more than just consoles. It's the guy at the airport playing PSP or the chick in little pink shorts watch...
Firstknight you've been using those same ratings for what seems like an eternity now. Man, did you not read the article? Did you not read my post as well. Do you think its a coincidence that both games look to be so close as far as graphical fidelity goes? I am not gonna try to convince you if your're inclined to hate for the sake of hate and throw up that lame* GamePro score.lol c'mon. If you ever have the chance get both systems and both games on a beautiful HDTV. You will see that th...
did say that US targets would be met with at least 2 million units shipped worldwide at close of business 2006 and 6 million shipped worldwide by end of March '07. Naysayers wanted to jump on the hater bandwagaon stating that it could never be done and that these were just factory "ship dates" and not actually delivered product p.o.'s. Well, the bottleneck in blue laser diode production has ceased (how long did you think it would last?) and the PS3 is becoming more and more availa...
I believe that MS has always been a forward looking company otherwise they wouldn't be where they are industry-wise. I just found it interesting from the article that MS actually pioneered the VC-1 encoding tech. Now what's even more interesting is that I read at sound and vision that more blu-ray backing studios are going to be going VC-1 (they're still only using the MPEG-2 format because the codec is so much easier to program for) which will open up more storage space and allow for quick...
I'll say it again: this game will sell thousands of PS3s alone just like gran turismo did for the PSOne. Not only is it pretty to look at, but the gameplay is damn fun and offers huge replay value. It's always easy to tell when people love the work they're doing and Evolution clearly loves off-road racing. My only regret is that I wish Evo would've delayed the Japanese launch to coincide with the US launch so that those guys would have a complete game. But this is a Greatest Hit for sure...
I didn't know that MS invented the compression technology for VC-1 encoding on BDdiscs. I sense a bit of irony here, but it's still early.
My Japanese brothers got ganked. Shame on you Evolution. But this will be a "Greatest Hit" in the good 'ol USA. =]
Blu-Ray keeps getting love from the giants of the electronics underworld. What do they know? Hmmm....
I think people are just tired of saying "DVD". They're ready to say, pass the "Blu-ray".
don't look much different to me in terms of graphical clarity. They both look great, period. When I play Gears(cousin's xbox360) on my Bravia it looks damn good especially the cathedral area and the bats with the spotlight area - very cool, very cool and the character rendering, splendid. Now the tunnels area on RFoM (after the jeep ride) looks very good as well and the long legged walkers coming toward you - I still haven't gotten used to that for some reason, and the enemies are well ren...
"The 360 guys had read that report too and claimed that was their point all along. "My technology group knows these are basically equivalent boxes in terms of capabilities," Henson said.
Oops!lol
-- "Keep in mind, it's a bit of comparing apples to oranges. Not everybody who purchases a PS3 is going to be using the Blu-ray technology. And Xbox 360's high def attachment is only used for movies; it adds nothing to the gaming experience."
Well, Besides the "gaming" experience, I use my beautiful playing "top-rated" BD all the time -- as a matter of fact my buddy and I watched Rise of the Machines and Syriana this weekend while his kids played wii-s...
lol...
this is old, useless information, and stirs zero - sum arguments. And no, this is not a personal attack on 819.
dorky, but it's good for the favorites - ya know...
Greatest Hit??? Micro my friend, I can't believe you still doubt this title even after these screens, but to each his own. I don't give a $hit what Famitsu says (reviews), this game will be one of the single reasons that the PS3 takes off from the launch pad and gets into the thick of this next-gen race, because if Kaz Yamauchi developed this thing Famitsu would've given it 10's across the board. This game alone is going to sell thousands of PS3's, period.
Note: for the peo...
I didn't feel you were attacking the story, as a supporter and investor to the brand, I just like to see my operational arms fighting back and barking; not just folding and aquiescing to outside pressure from naysayers. This is a typical start for a new launch. It's just amazing at how many people (around the world) are interested in the ups and downs of this iconic company. Not unbelievable -- just amazing. Carry on good man.
glad you posted here first 360 fan. Thanks!
It's amazing to see how many people have two cents on something they could give a rat's a$$ about re: what SNE does or how they do it, when they have absolutely NO stake in it whatsoever. But the fact that SNE is the "king of comments" will never die I suppose. I can live with that.
Anywho -- Has anyone ever pondered the question of why you wouldn't just play your original PS2 games on the "PS2" (duh) with the Xploder HDGP software working it's magic th...
Interesting article.
